We’ll use the public bus to reach the trailhead at the traditional mountain village of Lefkes. This is a very popular walk and the path is lined with wild herbs such as thyme, sage and oregano, so it’s a sweet scented experience too. We’ll finish our walk at Prodromos where there will be the chance to stop at a local cafe to enjoy homemade ice cream and baklava. Here in the side streets you’ll usually find the locals playing a game chess or backgammon. From here we’ll take the bus back to Drios or there may be the opportunity to stop in Piso Livadi for lunch or a further walk along the coast.
