Step onto the of Inujima in this exhibition which explores how an extraordinary living art project is transforming the island’s landscape and lives of its inhabitants. The natural beauty, stunning beaches, and sense of space and freedom will liberate your kids’ imaginations while the Island is home to a whole host of land and water activities. Admission and ferry fare is free of charge for under 5s, but we still require you to book a place for any under 5s in your party, so that we can manage numbers on the ferries. Brownsea Island is dramatically located in Poole Harbour, with spectacular views across to the Purbeck Hills.

It’s also an area of particular interest to those keen on the Lost Atlantis legend. Record show that the eruption did overwhelmed the Minoan settlements at Akrotiri as well as those on Crete. There are traditional rustic tavernas in the well-known Plaka area at the foot of the Acropolis. At just 0.54 km², a circuit of the island of Inujima on foot takes just one hour.

As our tours commence we are starting to see the first signs of the wildlife and nature coming… With the island now open again for the summer season, the tours up and running and our new ferry… Pebble Island Lodge is a renovated farmhouse and provides comfortable accommodation in the settlement, conveniently situated at the centre of the island, while The Nest offers self-catering.

If you don’t wish to join the walk then this afternoon is free for you to relax on the long beach near our hotel; with shallow waters it’s an ideal spot for swimming. Alternatively you can explore the tranquil village of Galissas, which is set around a small harbour in a scenic agricultural area. With long days on the water bookended by epic sunrises and sunsets. On ferries that are not fully booked by pre-booked visitors, we are able to accept a number of walk-in visitors from Poole Quay on the day. Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis and same-day availability for a specific crossing cannot be guaranteed.
